Dance is the way to express yourself, your desires and your thoughts. It is proved that dance helps to fulfill the needs and to turn many of your desires into reality. While dancing, anything can be resolved. Did you know about it?
British blue-eyed soul man Frankie Miller had a great voice, a strong knack as a songwriter, and some pretty unfortunate luck with producers and arrangers. While he cut some solid sides with Brinsley Schwarz as his backing band and did even better work in the company of the legendary Allen Toussaint, the sad truth is there are as many duds as gems in his catalog, usually due to mismatched assistance in the studio. 1985's Dancing in the Rain paired Miller with producer and engineer John Jansen, who tricked him up with a morass of hard rock guitars, high-mixed drums, and periodic sax honks that suggest Jansen was hoping to turn Miller into the next Robert Palmer, since on the surface this album resembles Palmer's "Addicted to Love" era and Power Station hits more than anything else. The production dates Dancing in the Rain more effectively than anything Miller cut in the 1970s, but Miller manages to survive the onslaught without embarrassing himself -- Miller sounds tough, committed, and in control on these sides, especially the mournful "Gladly Go Blind," the swaggering "I'd Lie to You for Your Love," and the passionate "You're a Puzzle I Can't Put Down." Miller wrote or co-wrote all ten songs on the album (his collaborators include Brill Building legend Jeff Barry and Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel), and while "The Boys and Girls Are Doing It" and "Do It Till We Drop" are obvious throwaways, most of the other tunes are solid and give him plenty of room to show off his vocal chops. Dancing in the Rain was Frankie Miller's last album before a severe brain hemorrhage sidelined his performing career in 1994; he certainly deserved to go out with a better record, but for the most part the album's flaws have little to do with him.

As much as Jack disliked Davey getting sick, it got difficult to pull him from the rain when he looked so happy and at peace in it. There was a childlike glee in his eyes that Jack treasured every time he saw it, and his laugh was so bright and musical and unrestrained. Even his body language was different, with his head and chest tilted towards the sky. He looked like some majestic rain god with the water flying off him as he continued to spin.

Minutes later, the drizzle turned to a downpour. The rain was coming down in sheets. The feelings of unity evaporated, and everyone ran for cover. I found shelter in one of the nearby tunnels, crammed shoulder to shoulder with chiloniim, Sefardim, and chasidim of all stripes, all of us standing and waiting for the storm to pass.
Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. High-filtered or dappled sunlight is necessary for clean, healthy growth. Morning sun is tolerable and will help to intensify the leaf colors, but hot afternoon sun is usually deadly to hostas. They are most at home in shady, woodland settings and often work well as specimen or edging plants.
Sometimes in our lives, when it rains, it pours. That can trigger one or more limiting beliefs. These are basic survival neuro-pathways that your brain can build. When a limiting belief is in play, it fires off all sorts of negative mind chatter that fills up your head with bad thoughts. For instance:
So, a practical way to deal with difficult circumstances is to recognise a bad feeling as it happens. That feeling is an old neural pathway that has set off the flow of cortisol. Loretta believes the trick is that when you sense it, give your body time to dispel the cortisol release. Back to my metaphor, to dance in the rain! It is useful to find a distraction to interrupt any limiting beliefs and exit those old patterns.
Leaders know that they are at their best when they engage their upstairs (thinking) brain. Not only is your upstairs brain infinitely capable, did you know that it also has access to your happy chemicals such as dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphin?
Loretta says that your upstairs brain looks for facts that make you feel good. When you engage your happy chemicals, they give you a boost. Moreover, they override the feel bad factor of cortisol. Every rain cloud has a silver lining!
Right now we have a pandemic tormenting our world. Our country is approaching a divisive election that is stirring up more hatred each day. We students share the common stress associated with beginning a new school year. There seems to be an immense amount of rain occurring at this time.
Not every day or week is going to have some monumental, amazing experience occur, so in order to truly engage in putting emphasis on the dancing, the little times in life should be weighed equally as importantly as the monumental experiences.
Even though there were some unexpected aspects to the dance, the venue was coordinated beautifully by ASB with a great DJ, delicious food, and lots of dancing. The dance was a memorable night, to say the least, and is one that will notoriously live on in the minds of all who attended. 2ff7e9595c
